Welcome To
The Southwest Outdoor Club was formed over 30 years ago as a way to bring together people of all ages and abilities who feel the need to escape from the shackles of the workplace and take advantage of all that Arizona and the Southwest has to offer out of doors. Whether you are interested in camping, hiking, cycling, kayaking, climbing or just doing some serious power lounging, we have activities that will meet your needs.
For a listing of the activities we have scheduled over the next few weeks, check out our newsletter:
We normally meet at 7:30 pm on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month in Tempe, Arizona. As we are in the process of looking for new meeting locations, please check The Adventurer for specific meeting details. The usual format is that members will report on any activities in which they've recently participated before discussing future events that we are planning. If anything appeals, you're welcome to tag along - if not, well hey, there's always next time. Meetings occasionally include a special event, such as a slide presentation or short video film, and are generally followed by a social hour at a local establishment.

Please note: The Southwest Outdoor Club is unable to give advice on where to hike/climb/camp/canoe/raft in Arizona. Our links page offers many resources, which will help you plan your trip.
